Writer Matt Fraction began his career in comics writing two columns for Comic Book Resources: Poplife and The Basement Tapes, the latter with Joe Casey.

Fraction started creating comics with the smaller publishers, like AiT/Planet Lar and IDW Publishing. He scored a hit with The Five Fists of Science, achieved widespread critical acclaim with Casanova for Image Comics and proceeded to work on a number of Marvel Comics series such as The Immortal Iron Fist  (with Ed Brubaker), Punisher War Journal, The Order, Young Avengers Presents and The Invincible Iron Man.

Fraction was nominated for an Eisner Award in April 2008 for his work on The Sensational Spider-Man 2007 Annual.
