Jon made headlines in 2005 on the BBC News and around the globe when he mortgaged his house to buy a virtual [Asteroid]] for $100,000 USD. He subsequently appeared in The Discovery Channel Documentaries; Gamer Generation and I Video Game, he also appeared in the Canal+ Documentary 'La Vraie vie des mondes virtuels'. Fox News did a 5 part video interview with him titled Portrait of an Avatar. The LA Times describe him as “The first Cyber Super Star” and Stuff magazine included NEVERDIE at #28 on their list of most powerful people under 30 (He was the only Avatar on the List). On May 9th 2006, he claimed the title of first millionaire Avatar declaring a Net Worth of over $1Million USD in A virtual World, 6 Months ahead of the nearest competition.

He is included in the 2008 Guinness Book of Records for owning an Asteroid Club NEVERDIE "the Most expensive virtual item" Club NEVERDIE is recognized by the biggest club magazine in the world MIXMAG as “ the #1 Virtual nightclub in the World”. Club NEVERDIE is also host to the Massive Multiplayer online World Championships (MMOWC). NEVERDIE has appeared on 60 minutes and numerous other international and US national Media and publications. He is included in the Book Altar Ego by Robbie Cooper.

Jon also wrote and recorded the "undeniably infectious" no ROCK uN ROLLed an album under his Avatar name NEVERDIE which includes the very popular Gamer Anthems Gamer Chick and New VU Blues, he has Produced Music videos for international artists including Baby Lets Play house the latest official Elvis Presley Video, released by Sony.  
In 2008 NEVERDIE Studios was launched in Hollywood California to take Virtual Pop Culture to the next level.
