JOHN MEADOWS writer of LOST video game for UBISOFT

Screenwriter John Meadows premiered his first feature film, Wisegirls, at the 2002 Sundance Film Festival. Wisegirls stars Mira Sorvino, Mariah Carey, Melora Walters and was directed by David Anspaugh ( Hoosiers, Rudy). Other feature film projects include Jimmy the Elf (with Kat Lantainge), in development with Champion Pictures in Los Angeles, and Dirty Minds, sold to SC Entertainment in Toronto.

Recent rewrite assignments have included Stage Fright with Tri-Mark Pictures in Los Angeles, and Dreaming of Dudley with Mannix/Hunter Productions in Sydney, Australia. As a story editor and script doctor, Mr. Meadows has worked on numerous projects in Vancouver, Los Angeles, and Sydney. Television credits include several episodes of Guinevere Jones - Season Two - for YTV/Canada and Channel 10 Australia.

At a community level, John Meadows is the co-producer and dramaturge for the long running Cold Reading Series, which for the last ten years has brought together actors and writers to workshop original material in front of an live audience.

In addition to his work in Vancouver and Los Angeles, Mr. Meadows recently returned from Sydney, Australia, where he interned at the prestigious Tropnest Writers Center on the Fox Studios Australia lot. Mentors and lecturers at Tropnest included Baz Luhrman, George Lucas, Robert Towne, among many other Australian and international filmmakers.
