LAURA VANDERVOORT Kara Zor-El (Supergirl) Smallville

Toronto native Laura Vandervoort has arrived! After numerous television and film appearances, Vandervoort is the new shining star of the hit series “Smallville” playing the beautiful and powerful Kara (Supergirl). Before her recently found fame, Vandervoort had a recurring role as Sadie Harrison on the series “Instant Star” and a recent guest spot on “CSI”.

You may also recognize her from other guest appearances on such series as; "The Dresden Files”, "Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye", Falcon Beach, "Doc", "The Gavin Crawford Show", "Mutant X", Mom's Got a Date with a Vampire, Alley Cats Strike, "Twice in a Lifetime", "Are You Afraid of the Dark?", and "Goosebumps".

The former York University student is a third cousin of celebrated Canadian actor Gordon Pinset and she has recently earned Second Degree Black-Belt in Karate.
