  • WGC PRO PANEL WITH CREATORS OF KILL SHAKESPEARE & MURDOCH MYSTERIES

    Respecting the Fan base: the rewards and challenges of adapting a well known and well loved story from one platform to another.  Join the WGC for a panel of screenwriters, producers, writers/ creators, and novelists who are involved in creating a project that is based on a previously existing property with a pre-existing fan base. While adaptation is commonly discussed and practiced by our members, this panel will focus on the fan aspect, and what having dedicated, critical fans of the property being adapted means for the writer and how it affects their work.

    One of the kings of genre-writing in Canada, writer and showrunner Peter Mohan(Lost Girl) will Moderate with guests Anthony Del Col (Kill Shakespeare), Conor McCreery (Kill Shakespeare), Howie Wiseman(Flashforward), Alexandra Zarowny(Murdoch Mysteries), Patrick Tarr (Murdoch Mysteries) and Maureen Jennings(Murdoch Mysteries)!
